NYC babeeeeey! wooot~ ....

An actor/actress from an American series comes home to a one room apartment, turns on the lights while frantically taking off his/her shoes and dumping it on the floor with a big satisfying sigh. Throws the keys on his/her dining table and is welcome by the hustle and bustle ‘music’ of NYC. Sirens travelling down the busy roads of New York and gradually becoming nothing but a distant sound of curiosity. Drivers hammering on their horns just so the city will stay alive. While all around settles for an environment so chaotic and on the go, he/she opens the fridge, pours himself/herself a glass of nice cold refreshing beverage, gulps the drink and releases a breath of satisfaction knowing a shower will be next.

That’s like a typical dramatic ending to a CSI movie huh? I experienced it during the 2^nd day of returning home from a day of shopping! The only difference is that I happily took out and cut off the tags from all the new goodies we bought before heading to the showers =D Don’t worry.. some of the goodies are not mine nor my mom’s or sister’s.. Hmmm.. I wonder whose it is ;)

Ok.. on the whole, NYC is nothing like the movies! All we see is the nice sky scrapers that covers the New Yorken sky and all the yellow cabs driving in an orderly manner. YEA RIGHT! The real NYC is a big eye opener! Sadly, I have to say that it is a mess! The city has no theme, no character, no charm and worst of all, NO PATIENCE! Haha.

Aight, lets give it a break. Lets concentrate on the better tasting side of this big apple. The shopping here, AMAZING and mostly reasonable! The sales assistants are very courteous and helpful. The weather this time round can be said perfect in a way with the sun always out and shining. The view and lights at night from a 31^st floor apartment seems beautiful and lively. Last but not least, it’s NYC, a place with a theme only known to the eyes of individuals =)

China town and little Italy here is like Petaling Street back home! I’m not joking! In a matter of fact, it’s worse in the sense that it’s filthy and has that awkward sense of trouble. But that’s only from a Malaysian Chinese boy tourist’s POV. Hehe. The sidewalks are filled with small shops that sells REAL FAKE goods and from everyday wear to iPods! It’s basically everything in one place. It cannot get anymore random and mixed up as NYC babey. Hee.

Aights.. hope many will be more aware and know that NYC is not all as we think it is. But it's still a great place.. a place where many call home. I guess they just like the sweetness of this apple ;)
